Do you have a part number? I may run by O'reilly on the way home and grab two just to have them handy.
I dont have the part number, the receipt is with the two I got in the top of my tool box They sold them as singles from a box of four. I am going to have to look at things a little closer first as well before I put them on as well. The Ford site has M22 X 1.5MM but O'reilly's site is listing them as M24-2.0. The part number on Fords part site lists it as 3B477.

Its hard to hear but this was the tink tink sound I have, another guy in here said he had the exact same sound and new nuts (haha) fixed it.

THESE ARE ONE TIME USE ONLY NUTS!
Picked up two of these from O'reilly Auto Parts on the way home from work yesterday. Will be putting them on this weekend to see if it makes the tink tink sound go away.

@BMR Tech .. 150lbs & 1/8th turn? Thought it was 98lbs with 1/8th turn. No worries of over-torquing?
Almost every fastener on modern day vehicles is "one time use".

Anyways, the "spec" I believe is actually 98ftlbs + 90 degrees.

I use 150ftlbs and just a small bump after I hit 150ftlbs.

But I recommend to most people, due to the fact that I know some people may not do the "1/8" or additional bump properly.....150ftlbs and red loc tite.

Have you tried your local dealer? Mine had a bunch of these in stock - maybe a part they need often? They were around $4 each if I remember correctly.
I picked up Ford part number CCPZ-3B477-F.

Just a note to anyone doing this: I bought a 32mm socket just to find that it was too shallow. I needed a deep well 32mm socket to get this done.
Jmart did you torque it down with the car on the ground or up in the air?
Im gonna tackle this one tonight. Got my nut and red loctite :)

I just left it in the air. I don't think it matters too much though.

I have wheel wobble, vibrations, and a clicking noise at low speeds that sounds like a baseball card in the spoke of a bicycle sometimes. My question is how do I know if it's the retaining nut or the bearings? Should i just replace both? Is this something I shouldn't attempt since I've never done this before so I don't screw it up. Being the novice I am any help is greatly appreciated. The shit I've learned the past year from listening to all of you is amazing thanks guys.

Just wanted to throw this out there that I've had my front axle nut come lose. I noticed it because my brake pedal would be soft after turning. Turns out the rotor was wobbling and pushing the brake pistons back in.

Ford dealer gave me a hard time but ended up warrantying it.

Seriously! Ive had my ac fail, my engine leak oil and this! All with 23k miles WTF!!
I feel your pain...

AC compressor fail / passenger pony light fell out (that was a hassle to get replaced) / both pony lights failed x2 / ticking noise from TB (unresolved) / told alignment was checked and good when requested - new tires had wire showing in 5k miles / cooling seats attempted to fix x4 (got an adapter from a guy on here to fix it myself since they can't) / 50th faux gas cap 2 pins broke then a tech broke it completely off, then said he just touched it and it fell off, then blamed vandalism (3m tape to the rescue)

I wont even go to a Ford dealership around here anymore from how horrible the service has been for the last 2 years. Ill fix what I can in the garage and if I have to go to a Ford dealership I will be having to drive at least an 1&1/2 hrs.

The easiest way is to simply check the torque... if it still makes the noise after torqued it wasn't the problem.

HISSMAN, those were what I grabbed however Obi Wan was hanging out with me this weekend and he told me just before I went to the garage "These are not the nuts you are looking for.

So this weekend....bought a socket to fit, put the car up on stands, got the wheels off, nuts were toooo big. Guess I am going to have to go visit Ford and see what they have in stock. Tightened both of them back up since they were both loose. They will just loosen back up though from what I have heard.

Checked mine out over the weekend . Everything is still nice and tight after 7K miles.

I wonder if a heavy duty lock washer would help any?
