How is the visibility with the 6000k lights?
Slightly better than the stock ones, stock are 4300 lumens, new ones are 6000 lumens

Great job with the photos and entertaining story. I have a 2017 GT350 in the exact same colour combo with the cover and Recaro's on order, but is still a few months away. Really nice to see your high quality photos, makes me confident the magnetic choice was the right one ! Will follow this thread for sure.
Yup #magneticmasterrace

This car is suppose to be mean and intimidating. To do that you need a dark color like black or magnetic. Black you need to keep clean though and has to be without stripes. So magnetic is the best with the black stripes, still light enough to show off all its lines, but not to dark to show all the dirt imperfections.

The new 2017 colors look cool aka ruby and grabber, but makes it looks less mean and more of a show car.

$130 for the delete and Strait Pipe, Little more than everyone else but everyone in town goes to this shop. The welds are perfect.

$100 for the X Section
Where did you get the replacement pipe and Xpipe? Did the shop already have all of the piping to be able to weld back into place? Sounds sinister for sure.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I travel a ton. sorry for not getting back to you. Last time I came home, it'd been so long since i had been, that it took me a minute to remember my address. :frusty:

in all honesty, I would do two things:

1. I would return the escort max 360 and get a V1. That is just my preference. Sadly, I wasn't able to figure out the max 360 wasn't really what it is cracked up to be until after my return period was over. You'll also save yourself $250. I'd also ditch the blendmount in favor of a visor clip. if you do get pulled over, with a blend mount, it will be an immediate ticket. At least with a visor clip, you can toss the detector into the glovebox or console, thus, at least giving you a chance to get out of the ticket. Our cars are so loud, they draw attention when you're doing 25mph in a 50.

2. I'd sign up to do a track day light at nola. Consider getting a junior membership if you like it. between tickets, increased insurance, the danger to you and others, etc, the Jr membership is a steal comparatively.

As for the ticket, depending on what is was for ( how many mph over the limit) and what your insurance company attaches to premiums for it, I'd consider hiring a lawyer. a lawyer will run you about $400, then you'll have to pay whatever they negotiate it down to, but it should get reduced to a non-moving violation and stay off of your record.

Don't feel dumb about it though. Within a month of getting my gt350, I got one ticket in a rental ford explorer and one in my gt350. you live, you learn.

If you want the tour of NOLA, let me know. I have a garage over there and a great relationship with a couple of the staff members.
Wow. 400 for a lawyer? In my town, I get tons of tickets doing 15 over and my lawyer charges me less than $100 most of the time. No court costs, no charges, no points.
