Yea still works so you'll live.. Stock X I believe may also be 2.5-2.75, def not 2.25". It's the useless smaller diameter 2 inches of piping after the X pipe which throws you off. There is a member on here that deleted his resonator and ran the straight 2.75" all the way to the X after cutting out that smaller diameter piping after the X. I can't find the thread though.

I thought the stock exhaust piping measured 2.75"?? From your pics u can tell the 2.5" straight pipe is slightly thinner than the factory piping.

I've been wanting to do this but haven't found a true 2.75" X pipe.
You can see that the posterior end of the straight pipe is swedged to match the larger OEM pipe.

A quarter inch is a big deal ! I guess you don't mind making less hp than a stock gt350?
It's a quarter inch restriction on both sides , that's a half inch diff Alltogether

That is the side toward the front of the car, if you go through my pictures again you can see my resonators are still attached to my old X pipe. It's pretty obvious what the X does from the outside, but that old one cuts in pretty sharp, but I'll take another pic

Overall I have more horsepower than a stock 350 just because of the bigger X and I took out the resonators , now if I did the big X with the 2.75 then I would be making even more. So I might of gained 1-2hp instead of maybe 3-4. It's negligible

Yea that's fine.. Only 2.75 X pipe I've found so far is made by Burns Stainless and it cost about $550.

It is nice though.

Changed the Aluminum Lug nuts to black lug nuts
I just installed the black Gorilla lugs. I also traded my chrome valve stem caps for my wife's black caps off her Subaru for an even more blacked-out look.

Great job with the photos and entertaining story. I have a 2017 GT350 in the exact same colour combo with the cover and Recaro's on order, but is still a few months away. Really nice to see your high quality photos, makes me confident the magnetic choice was the right one ! Will follow this thread for sure.
