Mine is factory painted and I am so glad I did it, it looks great imo

I dont think it needs to be declared if its painted. I think an insurance company would really struggle to not pay out a claim because it has a black roof done at the factory

I'm insured with Elephant and they required me to declare anything that wasn't standard spec, so I've had to declare the custom pack bits and the stripes even though these were all done at the factory. :doh:

I think it totally depends on the insurer. :shrug:
