I’m curious, not being judge-mental at all. I get chasing a hp number, but why start with a 500 to strip off what makes it a 500. Whipple makes great stuff.

Honestly I’m not chasing a HP number. If I wanted to do that I would have went twin turbo with a full built motor. My idea behind this build is something that can compete at both the strip and the track while still being a true street car.

It was completed but had an issue where the Whipple tensioner failed (this seems to be an increasingly common problem) and some low oil pressure due to the plasma arc weld failing on the cylinder walls.

So currently the car is back at Fathouse to get he engine built and I made the decision to switch over to twin turbos.

I’m curious for photos of the plasma arc lining failure(s).
