Agreed that at $56,000 this is a great deal for a brand new 2019 GT350.

This car was built on February 22, 2019 therefore has been sitting around for but after a careful inspection hard to be this price!

:like:
That's key information to have when considering these deals. May I ask how you determined the build date? Is that something I can find as well based on information readily available?

I'm looking at some of the deals being offered on '19 GT350s and GT350Rs. Been keeping a seat open for this car since I cancelled my order on a '16 Tech Pack.

Just pull up the Window Sticker for the car in question and if it shows a "Blend Date" on the top left hand side of the WS that will be the date that the build process started for any particular vehicle.

Use CarGurus. It tells you how long a car has been sitting on dealer lots. Both used and new and it can track when used cars get moved around to different dealers.

I live in New England and was getting offered $5600 off MSRP for leftover 19’s back in November. I gotta think you can do even better now on a 19.

Would you all expect to see similar discounts on a '19 GT350R?

Unfortunately, the inventory of '19s around me is limited and while I would normally be happy to fly across the country to purchase/inspect a great deal, given the current situation that's out of the question.

How do you search for dealers that have 2018 and 2019 in stock?

I'm seriously torn on this... I've been looking at a loaded 19 (just missing the sport seats, which I don't want anyway) in the color I want. Before the lockdown, the lowest the dealership would go is $61,500 (sticker is $65,755). They called me today and said "because of the economy, we've made some pretty good deals"... which I don't doubt. I mentally figured they'd have to go down to $58k and only if 0/84 comes available.

150 miles away is a private sale 2017, same color and similarly equipped, 8k miles, no mods only tint. He's been asking $48,500 for months, I figure I could likely get it for $45k.

Is the new car worth $13k more? That's a tough one. New motor and all that, warranty, I'd be the first owner (and get the swag), etc. But the difference can get me a whipple, exhaust, short throw, new tires, paint correction and coating of choice, etc.

Of course, that's all pending the layoff announcement in a few weeks... so I'm in no hurry, either way.

Worth mentioning... and this is time consuming, but I was committed. My R wasn't being publicly advertised. It was on the dealer website, but not cars.com, autotrader, etc...

If you're really committed, use Ford's website and start searching zip codes you want to target. I probably spent more than a couple of hours hunting, but I got almost what I wanted at the time (couldn't find a white one with a blue stripe) but found white and can add the stripe later.. :)

The 0/84 may be near as Shelby America is offering it on all new 19 and 20 cars and trucks thru Ford Motor Credit.

I’m gonna regret not waiting if it does. Ford performance cars are exempted from it currently and I assumed it would stay that way.

Yeah, I don't get why it can be applied on a $70k F-150 Limited but not a $60k "Mustang".

Regardless of what people think the Gt350 market is, there aren’t thousands of them available like the product lines they’re offering the special financing on. These cars even leftover model years are a constant draw of consumers to the dealerships.
