Forever I've read running a bias ply rear with a wide-ish radial fronts you get crazy sway going WOT in a straight line with these IRS cars. I dunno about that man. Running 28x11.5.17 ET Street R rears & Firehawk Indy 500 245/40R19 fronts there is zero sway. Street / track / 4x4 trails (haha). It's just hook like a mofo & hang on. In fact, I didn't notice anything unusual other than the bias plys grab the ruts in the street more. So makes me wonder what these guys are doing to get all that sway. Don't wanna get caught off guard haha. Cheers.

What do you have the rear air pressure at? That makes a difference typically.

18 psi rear / 32 psi front
That is good you aren't experiencing the sway effect. My 2006 GT had no sway bars and with a radial front tire and MT ET Street bias ply in the back, it definitely had movement at the top of the track. At highway speeds, it felt pretty floaty as well. Street driving below 50mph felt fine. I have run the same 17x9 wheels with the bias ply tires on my '19 GT with stock front wheels and it felt fine under 60mph at 18psi but around 65-70 on the highway, it does not. I definitely felt that movement and like you said they tend to catch and ride the ruts or imperfections in the road surface. I wouldn't consider it dangerous if you know to expect it but it can be unsettling at times.

Anytime I have street driven a bias ply rear tire, I have taken turns very easily as well. Straight line though, it's a blast!

Turns ain't to bad. Had to do an pretty violent emergency maneuver to avoid some jackass the cut me off then slammed the brakes cause 'he needed that lane'. Handled it like a champ haha. Somebody told me to pump up the front psi at the track from 32 psi to 42 psi. Regardless though.. I need to get some pizza cutters for up front.

With the Hoosiers I had alot of sway even with bias up front. I changed to MT Street bias r's and had zero sway. I was even running them down to 12-14 lbs cold and they felt good. You will pick up a tenth or so and atleast 1+ mph if you go with a skinny upfront.

Had mt 19 drag radials on my 18 pp1.The sway was bad at any tire pressure.Call mt the daid that had issues with sway on the mustangs due to the way the tire was built.Reconmended going to 17 in rim and tire.

Well I pumped up the fronts to 40 psi, rears at 19 psi. Got an alignment with the MT on and all is good now. No float/sway/etc.

Love the setup! How wide are your rear wheels? And are you auto or manual?

Good thing I don't drive it in the rain. Otherwise it went straight as an arrow. Got my best 60' ever.
