I have a 2016 Mustang GT PP1 Manual and purchased the C&L Racer CAI w/ Bama Tune on a SCT Device and a Corsa Extreme Catback from American Muscle over a year ago and I want to get a new Custom Tune to see if the car will run better as well as get a "Burble Tune" as a 2nd Tune Option.

Need some feedback to see what company would be the best to work with for my setup and why.

LUND = $250 - I can choose my CAI, but not that I have an Exhaust
PBD = $195 - I can list all modifications
VMP = $199 - Tune Order Form

I can only speak to Lund since that is who I got my tune through. Quick question, are you going to purchase an nGauge or are you just looking to get a single tune and nothing more?

I don't plan on buying the nGauge. I would like to keep using my SCT X4/SF4 Tuner.
https://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-custom-tuner-2015gt.html
What are the benefits to having the nGauge with their tune vs the SCT Tuner?
I can't say there is any definitive advantage if all you are doing is flashing the car once. I have at least 6 different tunes on my nGuage that I will flash between. The nGauge also shows you engine info like spark, a/f ratio, etc. if you are into that.

I can say that the customer service I have experienced at Lund was top notch. Good group of guys. Just send them an email and ask them also calibrating for your exhaust. I am sure they will be able to help. But in the end I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the three you mentioned.

Go with Lund Racing or PBD! We here at @LethalPerformance sell many tunes for them and they are the best at what they do! I can get you set up with either. :wink:

Lund and PBD are good options as Andrew noted. AED is another excellent option. Get rid of the Bama tune ASAP

I second Lund. Couldn't be happier with my tune on my 18 and my 14 gt that they have done. Best benefit from having an Ngauge is the easy data logging ability. tap the screen your logging what the tuner needs to dial it in. plug in a USB cord or remove the sd card and send them the data. Doesn't get any easier than that.

Question for you. I will be going Lund as well and for your 6 different tunes, did you have to pay for a new custom tune each time? Or is that included with the ngauge and tune total price?

Also how easy is it to change between tunes? Can you do it while driving or does it require the car be shut off and restarted in order to load a different tune? Thanks just curious as I would like 2 tunes

When I ordered my nGauge, I paid the extra $250 to get the E85 tune. If you just order the nGague by itself, it will come with the performance tune Lund offers tune revisions (https://support.lundracing.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005743408-Tune-Revisions) for minor mods for around $50.

Switching tunes is as easy as getting into your car, turning on your accessory mode on in your car, going to Tuning in your nGauge, selecting the tune you one, tapping the screen, waiting 10 minutes, and then starting your car after the tune has loaded. Super easy. What also is nice about the nGauge is that it is a data logger, you can record data and send it to Lund so they can see what is going on with the car. A really useful little tool.

Check this out. I made a video a few months ago installing my nGauge and datalogging. .

Is there an Tuner option where you can use the toggle between sport and track mode?

Lund Racing and PBD will be the two best options for your car. We have tons of customers running their tunes with awesome results. Our 2018 and pretty much most of our other Lethal Project cars that we've owned over the last 15 years are tuned by Lund.

PBD also gets lots of great feedback from our customers that run their tunes and if you do some searching you'll see they tune quite a few of the communities quickest cars. Great timing for PBD as well as their device with tune combo is on sale right now with $50 off of the combo.

If you have any questions or need help placing an order please feel free to reach out and we'll be glad to assist you.

Thanks!
