Its fun to spin off and show off but now I'm ready to feel all the power and tq. Im ready to hook. Not doing any digs because I'm tired of breaking the stock halfshafts.( I'm saving up for some good ones) I love to do 40 rolls but I get no traction in 2nd especially sp latley I've been doing 60 rolls. What's a good tire that hooks? and if I get caught in the rain, I'm not going to die lol. Thanks

Nitto 555r is the best compromise tire. Drag radial with groves for bad weather.

Was asking this same question in the wheels & tires forum too. I'm leaning towards the MT ET Street SS right now, as I can get a really good deal on a set, and I have another set of wheels and tires I can run during the week. I'm just worried about the swaying at high speeds.

What swaying at high speeds? A drag radial shouldn't do that.

I got a whipple and just put MT ET Street SS's on 20x10.5 wheels and so far so good. Dead hook from a slow roll in dry conditions. Driven through the rain some too. Stay out of big puddles and go the speed limit in rain and you'll be fine (I usually go about 10 under the speed limit in rain anyways).

M&H also now makes a 305/35r20 radial which from what I've seen performs as good if not better than the ET Street s/s

I just put some 305/35 20 Toyo R888r on the rear. Seems like I’ve never heard anything but good things about them so figured I’d try them out. They’re being put on the car this week.

Nt05r works perfect as a daily on my car, but depending on how much power you’re making, you still might have traction issues in 2nd gear.

I bought a set of street ss 305/45/17's for my drag set up, but i realized they had high speed sway. I took them off and sold them quickly, and put my nt05r's back on no sway. i'm "sticking" with them ...no pun intended...lol

I'm in the tropics so wet roads are possible everyday. I went with Nitto 555r. Best daily all around tire IMO.

My '18 goes in for the Roush kit in a few days so I will probably be looking for drag radials soon. I was thinking of ordering some 10.5 wide Performance replicas as well.

Any ideas on a good size to run that will be flush with the rear fenders ? I've read that 305's should be perfect but just don't know
