Where do you guys find yours?
Going to a test day for my first time and don't want to spend over $100-150 on a sa2010 or as2015 helmet.

On another note, what do you think my car is capable of? I'm hoping to be in the 11's for my first time out

2016 gt PP (3.73s)
E85 tune with 7k limiter
Catless headers and full 3" exhaust
Motor mounts and transmission mount insert
Poly diff bushings
Delrin cradle bushings
Bmr 1" drop springs
Hoosier 28x10x17 slicks

And tips or advice is also appreciated.
I plan to launch at 4500 my first time on 12psi

Thanks all

Depending on the DA and track prep you should be close to the 11's. My buddy ran 7.50 in the 1/8th his first time out with similar mods but he has a 3.31 car.

I just went thru this earlier this week, although for a M2015 (fine for scca)...although looks like this place has sa and as as well.

i plan to do some 1/4 and mostly autox. Brother recommended the CJ-17 and they happen to be 10% off this week for the 4th. Mine showed up today and it's super slick.

I was in a pinch last week and couldn't get to my storage unit to get my helmet before the track night. Pawn shop...Yep.. $10.00 for a Nolan full face. Few nicks and scratches.. Who cares.. LOL

Good luck.. and I didn't see 800HP CV shafts on your mod list.. Be careful..

Just to worn not to scare but if this is your first time on slicks get ready for a little extra excitement at the end of the track.:eyebulge: I went out first time on wed with slicks with bias ply front runners and still had a lot more sway than I was expecting. But by the third run I felt very comfortable with it and actually welcomed the un setteling feeling! I was running 15psi all stock except cat back, pulled a 1.8 60 ft launching at 4k and ran a 12.7@111mph. I was just a little shy to air down and launch any higher with stock axles. Good luck!

Shit I've been worried about the slicks and wandering around. How do you best approach the feeling? Do you just hold straight or is there minor wheel corrections? I'll be on stock front PP pirellis

Are there any issues with slicks and running -1.5 degrees camber?

You should get an easy 11.6-11.7 first run
4500-5000 launch , first to second 6500 ,2nd to 3rd 6800 ,3rd to 4th 6800 . Keep your throttle flat on the floor

Thanks for the tips. I can bang em hard on the street and haven't missed a shift on this car yet with 4k miles on the clock. Stock pirellis leave marks on the way into 3rd :headbang:
Ordered dss half shafts today as long as I have to drop the subframe for installing bushings. Crazy deals from supporting vendors here!

Is there any certain track etiquette that I should note? Don't want to screw anything up or piss anyone off my first time out

Don't need to know much about going to the track. Use the time in the staging lanes to socialize and get advice from seasoned racers. If you have any questions on your first run don't be afraid to roll your window down and ask the track officials.

I think you would be in the 11s easy if your rev limiter were higher. I think the shift to 5th may hurt your times. I went and 11.8 at 116 with similar mods and drag radials but I held the car in 4th with a higher rev limit.
