Check out their websites and you can see all of their pricing. Your local dealer will rarely have the best price unless you force them to match one of the online dealers. There is no difference between what you buy online and your local dealer, so get them to match it or buy it online.
Where do you see prices for ESP on their websites? I looked at the Anderson Koch site, but don't see where to find out about ESP plans.

I went with Flood Ford right before my 3/36 expired. Opted for ExtraCare, 8/48 no deductible. I was primarily concerned with the drivetrain and A/C. Also Flood Ford charged no tax. $1820 in 2019.

I have a question. Does the 8 year coverage begin for 8 full years at the date of purchase of the ESP? Or does it overlap the factory warranty from original date of purchase?

I went with Ford Premium CARE Extended Service Plan on my 17. They gave me a refund when Ford bought the 17 back. I'm going with the same Ford ESP on my 19 before the initial warranty expires. I would say if you save a couple dollars with another provider, read the fine print several times.

@lightrules posted the Anderson site, so here is the one for Flood Ford.

https://www.floodfordesp.com/

Compare the two and pick the one that is cheapest for your situation. I have heard of local dealers matching their price, but I am just going to use one of the online services so I do not have talk to anyone.

Has anyone ever made a claim at your local dealer against one of these plans? Any trouble with the local dealer not accepting the coverage?

They are selling Ford backed service plans, so they will be accepted at any Ford dealer in the country.

Should be fully transferrable to a new owner as well then?

The plan is tied to the car's vin #, so when the local dealer goes on his computer, it shows the plan. And it's a Ford based plan, not a dealer based plan. And if you use the Ford Pass app, it even shows your extended warranty on the app.
And when I purchased my car, I was given a limited maintenance plan. The dealer I purchased from was not my regular dealer. And I verified the plan with my local dealer, to make sure they see the plan, and honor it. They said no problem, it's all in their computer system. Along with it also showing in my Ford Pass app.
