Best Mustang to boost (need help)

Hello guys,

Im New here and im from Europe. After tuning my Volkswagen Golf to 631 Hp im now looking in to American Muscle to tune. There is not that many people tuning these cars in the Netherlands so i have a question.

Im looking at 2015 and up mustangs and im wondering what the best platform is to start tuning from?

What is the best transmission to start with?

Please let me know what you would buy and why from 2015 and up to supercharge or turbo, offcourse also keeping in mind that a 2015 will cost way less than a 2020.

To go along with by Procharged 2016 GT, I also own a 2019 GTI and I'm interested in how you were able to get 631 hp out of that 2.0 EA888!

The 6R80 is king for big power as of now. The 10R80 is a 10 speed automatic and is a very quick shifting transmission that keeps the engine in the optimal rpm range and puts lots of power to the ground. So far some tuners have had issues with forced induction (FI), big horsepower cars and getting the 10speed to shift as well as it could/should. The 6R80 has been around a lot longer and they have it down to a science at this point, so some BIG horsepower guys prefer the 6R80. If you were able to get 631hp out of a GTI, I am assuming you are going to go BIG on the Coyote.

Here is a little video of my Golf R



It was fully build engine and ofcourse fuel system with a dq500 (audi rs3) gearbox swap on a Xona big turbo so no upgraden hybrid crap. We custom build that setup, fastest golf in the netherlands. It did 3,1 0-100 kph with a lower hp tune and 6.03 100-200 kph. Fun car. There is more of it on that channel.
