Don't really have an issue with how it drives, I'd like to keep it similar without spending more than I have too. Most action my car has seen was the tail of the dragon in Tennessee and it felt pretty decent on that.
Well, once you are adding stiffer and shorter springs you are now working those already marginal marshmallow dampers even harder and you will be pogo-ing up and down the road in no time. Been there done that, every company that makes a 1" lowering spring says they work with stock dampers.. and yes, they do.. but doesn't mean it works well. Just saying if you're gonna go through the pain in the ass of installing springs you might want to cry once and get it all over with versus cry twice.

Have to do dampers with springs....best bet is Ford track pack.,..otherwise to close he wheel gap get more wheel poke with offset or taller sidewall.

If your roads are a trashed you're gonna suffer big time with a drop...

Eibach kits are high quality and good price it want 1"+ drop will also need bumpsteer kit to get geometry in line.

Midwaymustang might have some takeoff kits cheap.

Even with only a 1/2-3/4 inch drop? I've considered doing the Ford performance sport kit that will bring mine up to pp1 status. Ohio roads are awful so I'm really trying to maintain comfort with only a minimum drop.

Thanks I'll look into that. Is that a website or member?

Hello yall can I get some input on what lowering springs work best for a Base 19 GT. Ive considered the Ford performance lowering springs and steeda sport progressives. Ive read on here about possibly needing rear camber plates? Any information is welcomed. So far Im okay with how soft the ride is while having 20x10 & 20x11 wheels. Only suspension mods are steeda vertical links, steeda rear cradle brace, ford performance strut bar and crowl brace. Just looking for a small drop, while possibly increasing the suspension performance. Thanks
Not sure where you are located, but I have a set of performance pack struts and shocks with Vogtland 1 inch lowering springs already assembled onto struts that came off my 2017 GT with very low mileage on them. I also have the stock performance pack front and rear sway bars.

Everything is just taking up space and looking to unload for cheap. Would be happy to get $100 for everything if you are able to come pick up.

The FP Street kit is pretty good. The FP Track kit has a little better damping IMO, but for street use the FP Street kit is sufficient

For my base 300A '22 GT, I went with 1" drop Steeda Ultralight Linear springs (200/800 lb/in) and paired them with Bilstein B6 struts and shocks. I also locked out the IRS cradle with BMR CB005 and positively located it with BMR CB766 dowels. Also went with UPR differential bushing inserts and bushing sleeves from M6G member GTP.

Since I installed all of that at the same time, I can't really say which parts showed which benefits. However, I can say that the net effect is a MUCH better handling, dynamically responsive car with a very connected feel to the road.

If I were to only do one of the above modifications, it would be the BMR CB005 (or Steeda equivalent). The rear subframe/IRS cradle is mounted to the chassis through soft rubber bushings that permit excessive flex. This results in an unsettled feeling from the rear end when loading and unloading the rear suspension, either left/right, front/rear, or up/down.

Second would be the Bilstein struts and shocks (or the Ford Performance Track versions). The base GT struts and shocks have very low damping rates. They prioritize cruising comfort over responsive handling.

I'm still on the stock:
F/R sway bars
F/R sway bar endlinks
Font control arms
Font lateral links
Rear shock mounts
Rear camber arms
Rear vertical links
Rear toe links and bushings
Rear LCA bushings

No camber plates yet, either. The 1" drop gives about -1.8° of front camber which is good for a street handling alignment.

Thanks everyone. Guess I'm going to do struts too. I can get the track dampers & springs from CJ for about a thousand. Just hope if it's the route I go its not crazy harsh, like I said I don't track the car. I have 20s on the car, 275 up front, 305 rear both nitto tires. Don't want to go crazy with this because it's not my daily & I don't track the car. Which I why considered just springs with a minimum drop. I also thought the base 18's and newer got improved suspension?

20s on springs struts will be so harsh you'll wish you never wasted the money.

18s will have best ride, 19s start to get borderline.....all depends on your roads.

My wheels are velgen vf10s so definitely not getting new ones. I could just leave it alone, front fitment is okay but I may go with a 305/35/20 in the rear next time to take up some of the gap. Ohio roads are terrible in town especially after winter

With your roads and 20s just get Koni Active dampers and wheel spacer if your offset doesn't close the optical wheel gap.

I went with the Ford street springs on my base 22 since it didn't require changing out the shocks or anything else and it's my daily driver. No difference in noise/harshness. It's advertised 1" but it seems a little less than that, also I'm on 19s so it should look better with your 20s
I got a 3/4" drop vs the 1" they claimed.
