Done the wheels and tires, love the final package, but man that base brake hurts my eyes...
Thinking of the pp brake kit, but i heard it's not worth it to upgrade to brembo 6 piston if not going to track, so not sure now...
Anyone have suggestions for people don't go to track but dream of em, auto cross at most and want the look and performance upgrade on the street?

Color match caliper covers are a cheap way to dress it up if that’s all your after. Or even clean and paint them with Hi-temp paint for that matter. Z26 pads are a step up from stock and won’t break the bank.

I have a 2015 PP with the staggered, black 19s and the huge PP Brembos. I added drilled/slotted rotors and it looks pretty mean. I stop from 60, 70 in roughly magazine times, according to a Dragy. I still haven't really figured out how to work the built-in ford stopping time calculator.

I was pretty shocked at the price of brakes for aftermarket. I would do the PP upgrade for sure. Something to note is that those brakes don't fit over many aftermarket wheels, even if they are 19s. So, you might be looking at brakes, rotors, and wheels and tires. $$.

Keep what you have. The GT brakes are plenty for daily driving or dodging orange cones in a parking lot. If you just want a little bling. Paint is cheap. Caliper covers are convenient.

I think that the fitment on a 19x10 in the front MIGHT fit. I would see if you can put it on a PP car and see if it spins when it's torqued down. Ford PP are 19x9, and they obviously fit, so I would lean toard them *probably* fitting.

Sounds like you just got the wrong offset wheels.

19x10s fit easily on the front as long as you get the right offset

You don't need more than the stock fluid on the street. You're not heating up the fluid that much where a better one would help.

Better fluid is for those doing 160mph runs on the highway and wanting to stop down to 20mph or those that track the car.

Yes, you got way wrong offset. I have 19x10 with +34 and they tuck in with plenty of room to the fender.

Those are not Mustang wheels, they just happen to have the same bolt pattern.

Heard the guy who put on the wheels said it barely fits, 305 in the front, runs ok
Oh, i didn't look at the off sets... Bought it off a member. Wrong off set won't matter other than looks right?

You're right, caliper covers look terrible. Like really really bad. Cheap and fake. The Ford 6 pistons are your best bet for an upgrade.

The Ford Dot 4 LV brake fluid is good for daily drivers, autox use, almost all back roads. You can upgrade to higher temp fluid, but it won't be the low viscosity stuff Ford specifies and generally that high temp stuff needs to be replaced often cause it absorbs water more easily or its kind of annoyingly expensive. Unless you're descending mountains in Colorado or Utah or tracking the car, you don't need to change brake fluid.

Shelby American sells on eBay as ShelbyAuctions and you can get a brand new set of the Brembo 6 piston front brakes very inexpensively. I got my set for under $400 and $60 shipping.
