In the spirit of recent events I thought I'd bring this up.

What the best and worst mileage you've gotten in your current ride between fill-ups? whether it be 2 wheeled, 4 wheeled, 6 wheeled, 1 wheeled or even 3 wheeled lol

I once got 25 mpgs...during a track day...on my CBR :D
The best i've gotten on that thing was 50 or 51 mpgs, it was ridiculous.

07 GTI Best was 33-34 and worst was around 19

Ranger FX4 Best was about 20.5 and worst was around 12

So lets hear it.

34-35 in my 2012 Legacy with a weak little 2.5l. Not the biggest or smallest car I have owned, but definitely the most fuel efficient. It is also the newest.. During the winter, I have seen right below 22 for this car with a lot of morning idling and short drives in cold weather.

No idea on worst. I didn't keep a log when I had a DeVille or GTO (Two of the more thirsty cars I owned).. I think GTO was always showing 16.5-17.5 mpg or so on the readout.

I've seen up to about 23 mpg in the Mustang, worst was 19. My Mountaineer averages about 15.5, but has been as low as 14, high as 18. OTOH, my Surly Long Haul Trucker will get me to work and back on just a couple Clif Bars...

I get 41 right now in my escort :D

Granted that's almost exclusively highway driving to/from dearborn, but I do have every intention of keeping it around as a nice secondary car.

In my GT I could get as low as 13 in the dead of winter in Chicago with mostly non highway driving. I've gotten as high 29 cruising on the highway at around 65, but that was before I swapped out the 3.31 for a 3.73.

My commute is 30% city and 70% highway. As far as averages go, it's 19-20 with spirited driving, or 24-25 driving civilized. 26ish if we're talking grandma status.

Cruise control around 60-70mph will net something around 28mpg. The car sips fuel if you keep throttle light and avoid boost, but going WOT at any RPM will peg (or anchor in this case) the MPG readout at a flat 6mpg.

24mpg on a 3,000 mile road trip averaging 75-80mph in my 2011 3.73-equipped 5.0. Usually between 16-17mpg in my 100% city commute with lots of stop-and-go. My new commute has higher speeds and slightly fewer stop lights but more traffic so we'll see what my new average will be.

Not bad 24 going 75-80 is respectable. Only 2-4mpg's down from my little 2.0 going the same speeds.

I have a 2012 GT premium 5.0 automatic. I use it as my DD. Around town I've been averaging 24 to 25 MPG. On long trips have gotten as high as 29 miles per gallon. BTW, I'm 70 years old and my hot rod days are over.

Best I've ever gotten in my 2011 V6 Mustang was 35 on a pure straight highway shot in the middle of the night (like midnight to 5:00 a.m.) from the Georgia / South Carolina border on I95 to just south of Richmond. No traffic; didn't touch my brakes once for almost 400 miles.

Worst I've gotten in that car is 12 mpg on one tank during a snow storm, where I had to spend a lot of time rocking back and forth to get out of snow banks, and had to keep the traction and stability controls off to be able to get through unplowed streets.

Worst car I've ever had on gas mileage: 1991 Mercedes 560SEL with a crack in the intake manifold. Drove that car for two years before I literally just gave it away because that was cheaper than continuing to own it. Best I ever did on a tank of gas was 7 mpg; I averaged 3 or 4 mpg. On premium.

4 MPG has got to be the record, at least on this thread (even going forward). My father's 32' class-C motorhome does 9-10 mpg (there is really no city component though), with the 6.8L V10 and a Banks kit. Drops to 6-7 when towing his 24' enclosed trailer. That's a massive amount of mass and aero drag, so your F-100 must be exceptional...
