That gap between the tyre and wheel arch is huge.

What shambles, they seriously couldn't assign the car to someone else prior to it being shipped to a dealer?

Unfortunately they don't have a system to assign the car to the next in line. All the orders are tied to the person who ordered. Only way around that is to call the next race red (or orange?) person, ask them to cancel, buy this.

But if you think about that, that's a lot of hassle for the dealer as the process would roll on indefinitely.

Those door jam sticker are interesting. They look nothing like the ones in the U.S. I wished Ford would have taken the time to put them straight.:frusty:

Race Red, or Comp Orange?
If it's Orange, I'll take it :)
I guess it'll get auctioned off/sold on the lot.

RR looks like CO when it gets over exposed - see in the wheel arch pic, the left looks RR to me, the front looks CO.

I just checked the VIN, and the 'year' field is 'G' (where F = 2015), so it looks like all the AU ones are 2016 models (the question was asked in another thread).

According to FORD Etis, if you plug in the VIN it states that it is a race red car, 6 speed auto. So Melbnut, if your happy with the auto then I would definitely chase Ford Au to give it to you.

Pretty much sums up the whole Ford Mustang release in Australia.

We finally get the 'Mustang', but the whole process has been a half arsed exercise, almost like the 'C team' is looking after the car release, and a cross eyed bloke is putting on the VIN stickers. No offence to cross eyed blokes, but this shouldn't be their job.

I'll tell the grand kids one day
"It all started when FordOz estimated 1000 deposits for the Mustang in its first year, in a market where we love our V8 vehicles, especially iconic ones such as the Mustang, and the estimate was out by at least a factor of 4..."
