You can't see here, but the fronts have a tweeter which you can angle up, so it sounds better. I left the original tweeters alone in the car due to this one, sounds nice and clear.
Good luck.
I changed the front and rear speakers, putting in Infinity.
Since I wasn’t sure about the tweeters, which ones to order from Crutchfield, I let the stereo guy pick them, he put in Morel.
I went with an alpine 4 channel plus mono amp for sub, all one unit.
Added kicker subwoofer, mounting the amp to the back of the sub.
Added a turn knob to regulate the sub.
What a huge difference it has made.
Clearly u can start with just the speakers.
Then add the amp, if u wish.
Then the sub later if u still want the pop.
Took most of a day to do the full install.
Under 1650 for everything.
Glad I did it.

Sure,torque124, can you also provide any links to needed install accessories/hardware that are needed. How will these speakers handle additional power if you add an amp later?
Thanks a bunch...is there an amp you recommend as well? I think I'm going to finally get this done.Sure,
You need 2 of these (for 4 speakers):

And 2 of these adapters, if you don't want to drill into your front doors. Now I did not use them so I *think* they fit on the fronts, i.e. there is enough space for them to fit the door panel. I drilled into my doors and used self tappers.

Speakers should do actually very well with an amp if you decide to add one, just be reasonable. They are 60W RMS power from memory, as opposed to 25w on the oem's.... I have a 44W RMS Onkyo amp in my lounge driving 70W Pioneer towers with a 50W subwoofer, and it shakes the house... You don't need more than 60w in a car
I am also planning to add a small amp driven by speaker inputs in the rears only, as rears are almost non-audible due to the thick parcel shelf. The OEM stereo has good highs but not so good bass, so the system could use an amp with a bit of gain on low frequencies.
