If they have what you're looking for, Lindsay Ford Wheaton MD, Ted Britt fairfax VA, or Koons Sterling, or Sheehy Warranton.

This is a PP1+MR that at least still has the earlier PP1 pricing instead of the further inflated one. It's been on their inventory for a year so you should be able to low-ball them hard.

as 'base' as it gets. They should love to get rid of them.

In any event you're looking for at least 15% off MSRP !!AND!! rebates of $1700-2200 on top of that.

a couple of possibly interesting choices:

Battlefield Ford in Manassas, VA. Speak with Latisha, my salesperson and tell her I sent you. PM me if you'd like her cell to text or call her.
Yes I would appreciate her cell # from you, Ill send you a PM. The velocity blue looks great. I am looking for either Magenetic Metallic or Oxford White base 6 speed GT. I wonder what the likelyhood is of getting one for 29k is?

Ok, I'm crossing the line - Lindsay is the one that specifically would not relent in "adding back" freight after days of trying to get them to relent. Their price is not real or as advertised. Anyone have a different experience?

Thanks for the heads up on the recall -it's on cars made through August. Mine is a September build.

I bought my '19 EBPP from Lindsay Wheaton for 16% off MSRP + sales tax in May of '19.

That's 15% off MSRP - Rebate + Freight. Tell them you'll take it at that price + sales tax and simply don't budge. Bully THEM back. And the $300 'fee' in MD is not only capped but it's also expressly optional.

I just called Lindsay. They said the price was plus a $500 processing fee and a $1295 freight fee. LMAO. Forget that.

MD law caps that to $300 and also expressly states it's optional. Furthermore freight is $1195.

So let's do the math:
29,764 + 1195 = 30,959 / $37,075 = 0.835 or 16.5% off MSRP before tax.
There's more to give you know... Of course the dealership is not going to back down off their web price. It's up to you to cram the deal you want down THEIR throat.

You got that beat in NY or NJ? Are there better deals? Undoubtedly. Keep looking.

There's nothing remotely close in NY/NJ. Right about 16-17% off MSRP when you get a real price plus doc fee. That's basically exactly where I ended up if you add in the entire doc fee. Big picture - I'm thrilled with this kind of discount. Especially when otherwise car prices is more of a dealer's market. Covid lingering or not, cars are selling.

I haven't really shopped much in NJ / NY. Do you think there is any chance they will drop the $1195 freight?

nobody is going to NOT charge you freight.
If you want to evaluate your deal with respect to MSRP (which includes freight) or MSRP-Freight that's up to you.

Over in the F150 forums for example the "good" prices are
((MSRP - freight) * (some number between 0.87 and 0.9) - all rebates - PCO + freight) / (MSRP - freight) should come out to 0.86 or lower.

Most large unit dealers can sell vehicles for 10-12% off MSRP (ignore rebates) and not bat an eye. Rebates are money out of Ford's pocket - the dealer doesn't give a damn.

Current MY vehicles less than 90 days on the lot should neatly come out to 15% off MSRP + taxes. Take another 1% off for every 2-3 months. If it's a MY20 but built in like Sep-Dec 2019, it needs to be 20% off. Depending on the economics of the moment getting another 3% off (18 instead of 15, 23-25 instead of 20) is possible.

Resurrecting an old thread.

My sales guy is saying that freight is always added back in to the sales price. So an internet price of $5k off MSRP is MSRP - $5k + freight. Seems deceptive to me.

If they word the fine print correctly, maybe not fully deceiving. But if they show $xxxx off but freight has to get added back. Then it's not really $xxxx off. The amount off is coming from MSRP which includes freight by all conventions.
