Hey guys, as the title suggest, I'm planing to add the Tomtop screen in my 2015 base convertible.
The main thing about this setup is to eliminate any background engine noise to get a pure digital signal and maintain the ability to fade the sound from the screen.
On the convertibles the things are more difficult because the bass is much much less than the normal model (the speakers are in the sides rather than on top of the trunk), also the space in the truck is less, so far I've installed 0 AWG straight to the batt and 0 AWG to ground.
The problem is, even with a good ground, running the cables from the front doors to the trunk (using the high inputs from the amp) creates a small engine noise, that also happens either installing the LOC near the doors and then running the RCA cables to the low level input.
Just try to connect an old iPod using the aux in any mustang and at the same time charge it with the usb and you will get that noise as reference.
I can eliminate the noise adding filters but those filters just cut the high frequencies and removes the crisp sound, the ultimate solution is to install the LOC the closest from the stock radio (I'm even thinking in opening the unit and solder directly) and then use an Analog to Digital converter and run the signal using a Toslink (optical audio), near the amp back to analog using the Digital to Analog converter, that would do the trick and that will provide a pure signal.
So my question is, where are the 4 speakers wires in the molex? or even better, anyone has the schematics of the radio/cd?
Finally the Tomtop unit has an harness cable, anybody knows if any of the wires carries those 4 speakers wires, or perhaps a low level output for the 4 channels?
I'm unsure how that thing works in the base model, most of the information available is for the premiums.
The AD-DA conversion works flawlessly, instantly and the price is right, here are some links of the components.

Thanks!
