Why?!?!?!

Police cars come in all shapes and sizes, but when a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 gets to put on such a uniform, law enforcement becomes a sweet dream. And that's how the situation stays, as the GT350 interceptor we have here is an impersonation.

The muscle car follows the classic faux police vehicle scheme that we like to call the x-continent stunt - while appearing to be a law enforcement vehicle from the US, this Mustang does its thing in The Netherlands.

Of course, you might be wondering how the light bars are allowed on the car. And while we don't have an official explanation for that, it seems the driver only plays with the red and blue lights when outside public roads.

The bull bar, which in this scenario should probably be called the bully bar, suddenly seems normal when you think of all the laws such a GT350 risks crossing.

An important part of the car's aura comes from its wrap, with the second skin job having been handled by a Dutch specialist called Custom Dreams.

At first sight, this pony might trick an untrained eye into believing the fast Ford is a GT350R, since it packs the all-out model's rear wing. However, the easiest way to tell this is a standard GT350, if we may call it so, has to do with the wheels.

You'll get to see this VooDoo-animated impersonator in action thanks to the two pieces of footage below. And while the first clip shows the thing cleaning up the Mustang's car meet-leaving reputation, the latter allows you to check out the Blue Oval demon being used as a stationary attention magnet during an automotive event.

And with the kind of flat-plane growl this naturally aspirated animal packs, the aural part of the adventure doesn't even need the police treatment to be special.

eeew.

That's an R too? Sickening.

Once, about 1996, My homie and I were cruising home on the freeway in his red 1991 5.0 GT, when we see a pair of Fox Mustang headlights coming up fast in the mirror.

Homie stuffs it in third, and give it the beans right as the dude gets to our passenger side rear quarter. Dude pulls even with me and Homie, when I see, three feet from my face, that it is a Notchback 5.0 CHP car (California Highway Patrol, for you out of staters), outfitted with it's own Highway Patrolman.

CHiP pulls on us up to the door before homie realizes that it's a cop...about 2 seconds is all, I yelled "IT'S A COP!". CHiP gives us the Eric Cartman Trooper stare out of his window, and takes off.

It was about 6 pm. We figure he was headed to the CHP shop about to be off for the night, probably on his way to bang his wife. Didn't want the paperwork.

Good times.

There is a rich history of law enforcement using Mustangs, I take it as a compliment.
But man, leave the R models alone.

Honestly.. I bet you the difference between the two is a driver's race.
I would be willing to take that bet against an amateur driver.

I was about to post this as well, not really a police car. Not sure it makes it any better though. A lot of money to make it look like a police car, that is not?

EDIT: And the addons won't be track friendly. I get that its their car, do what they want. A standard GT seems like it'd be a better victim, but then you can't say you have, possibly the only, GT350 faux police car. Either way, nice job done, not for me for sure!

To each their own:shrug:

Not sure I'd want my GT350 to resemble a police car but it is a cool way to get some attention or market a company/products I guess lol
