Has anyone put a baby seat (7 month old) in their mustang yet?

Just after some advice like brand (isofix or belt) and size(eg slimline) that they used?

There isn't too much info out there on google and the forums.

Cheers melbnut, Ya I already have a seatbelt type baby seat but might just bite the bullet and get one of the isofix ones. Is yours the safe n sound slimline?

I'm gonna be in the same boat, 3 & 5 years.
So you'd highly recommend the ISOFIX type?
What brand/make of seat are you using?
Will the kiddie seat harm the leather or shape of the seats?
Coolest school pick-up rig EVER btw! :headbang:

I am using this one, maybe you get them in Australia as well. Got the isofix base with it and it gets in and out pretty easily. I also got a seat cover to protect the leather. When in, you have to move the passenger seat a bit forward, so make sure that is not an issue.

They look like great seats smidra but they are not available for sale in Australia which would also mean they have not been accepted to Australian standards yet so unfortunately can't purchase one.

Oh, my bad, truly sorry for that. I though they were a global company.

I hope you can find something that fits your needs

Need to be mindful of Australian compliance. Thanks though!

You got a perfectly good boot space in the Mustang, why do you need a car seat...

On a more serious note, as others have mentioned to make sure that it has Australian compliance...

Australia really needs to stop with these stupid rules, if it's good enough for Europe or USA, then its good enough for us..

We aren't that special...

I shall check in the morning on the exact model but it was somewhere around $450 I think. I have black towels under the seats to attempt no marks. I take them out a lot to let the leather settle but it is just a car

As for pickup rig, you are 100% accurate. My kids love it and my oldest just started prep. The mustang creates quite a stir when i drop him off at school. I think it has promoted at least a dozen conversations with mothers or fathers out the front already. Also helps that the school principal is a mustang nut

Same boat with a 5 year old. There are no approved isofix booster seats I know of but there are convertible ones that become boosters but are quite expensive. Having bought 3 seats so far (a couple quite expensive) I really don't fancy paying a few hundred for another one. As for the getting my daughter in and out of the car, I ordered a convertible so planning on lifting her in and out with the top down - getting too old for the bend and stretch haha.

I thought the rear seats in a Mustang were baby seats.
You guys are keen getting kids in + baby seats, looks like it would be a struggle to get a 3yo in without all that extra bulk.

My plan is to leave the passenger seat forward on the bottom slide.
Less time waiting for the electrics. The lack of an old school "tilt and slide" lever is a pain.
But hey, in the scheme of it, the car has greater design flaws.
