You are not the first person to bring this up. I purchased a complete GT350 spindle to see if it made sense to use some of those parts. As you can see in the attached picture, the spline is very short and very fine. The only vehicle I could find that uses that spline count is the 2015ish Explorers. Even then, the Explorer hubs have are splined the whole length. I am convinced the only reason those splines are present is for when they manufacture the hub an have to spin form the rear flange to hold the bearing together. They are not there for a CV joint.Have you looked at the GT350 hubs with their splines on the fronts?
