The longer I am on the planet the more diverse I try to become. For those of us continually striving to be better, you are always seeking new experiences and people. On some rare occasions you find events that allow you to blend together all the things you enjoy. Creating a type of synergy if you will. This is how I would describe Taste of Motorsports.
.
.
Taste of Motorsports is a blending of sophistication, exotic cars, gourmet food, road course racing, music and culture. I got introduced to the event organizer Tom Floyd throug buddy Adi. Tom had been growing this event over the past few years and also needed a set of wheels for his sweet E63S wagon. Again, we find synergy…..
.
.
Taste was held in three locations this year. Arizona, Portland, and California. Unfortunately I did not make Arizona event due to conflicts. However, I was in attendance at Portland International Raceway and Sonoma Raceway. The roots of the event lie in the automotive community. Think of an open track day with some of the best food, cars, and vibes you always wanted. Hanging with friends and driving with super cars. Displays from Mclaren, Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Shelby American and many other smaller vendors like myself..
.

With an entry fee of nearly $500 per person it is not for the faint of heart. Some level of exclusivity exists at this price point. But as soon as you get to the event everything is at your fingertips. Riding passenger seat with a pro-driver in a Mclaren Senna GTR, trading shots with a Ferrari on track, getting passed by Billy Johnson in GT350R, devouring breakfast frittatas, lunch tri-tip, and a massive charcuterie selection with red wine. Something about this speaks to a part of me that the average car show never could.
.
.
I could go on and on about the event, but I was very lucky to have the opportunity to attend. This prompted me to step up my display game and allowed me to share the experience with about 15 other Signature Wheel owners in Portland and California. If you get to attend next year I would say the juice is definitely worth the squeeze. Hopefully we will have an even bigger display with your car parked with under our tent.
