Grabber blue - looks fantastic WITH THOSE WHEELS.
Said before, great combination and such a 60s colour.
I'm after a convertible but fear the black roof would detract. Kinda restricts my soft top choice to the darker colours where there is less contrast.

If you've got a convertible the roof should be down unless it's raining (I had an MX-5 for 9 years) so how it looks with the roof up should be a distant consideration. If you like a colour get it and have no regrets IMO.

I agree on top down all the time.

But it's a lot better when the car looks good with the top up too!
(Coming from someone who owned a Z3 for 7 years)

I just surrendered my 6GPONY plates about a month ago. I didn't think it was worth the annual fee. Bit of a ripoff here in NSW.

Annual Fee? What? How much do they charge? Here in QLD you pay for the plate up front and you own it for life with no ongoing fees. Or do you not pay up front and just lease the plates?

About $450 or thereabouts. I didn't keep the renewal notice, just the new rego with a new set of plates.

Thats not too bad then. Up here for your choice of standard 3/3 text numeric combo is $490 one off but for premium from 3 letters or digits up to 7 its $2600 as a one off. So in your case $450 pa versus $2600 up front means your 5 years before equalling what we pay for premiums but then after that we are ahead from year 6 as we own ours for life. Its kinda similar price but at least you can put a stop on yours and hand back if you trade in after a few years for a diffent car.
