Are there any cars in dealer inventory down under, or is this first year mostly cars that were ordered by individuals?

I would suspect the latter...

Yep, technically the dealers are not supposed to have ordered any for themselves, but we have reason to believe some are not following that rule

Completely agreed! Driving a manual with anything taller than a soda can would be crazy uncomfortable. The console should have been switched for RHD, but maybe moving the parking brake lever was too much of an issue?

I was going to buy a RHD GT Premium for 42k, but started to find all the bits that were missing from the UK car which you get on the US car.
Even the alloy on the dash is different i was told, and of course you are not allowed the hood vents and i just love these retro turn signals, no remote start etc. So for 45k i brought a fully loaded CS Auto Vert. And the tax is half the price of a UK car, so each year the difference in price goes down.
