What kind of exhaust is on the car? It sounds louder than stock?

FWIW, there is absolutely zero correlation between oil pressure and tarnsmission anything. TOB, Clutch or trans internals. Can you "feel" the tick in the shifter? If it quits when the clutch is engaged, it sounds to me that it is clutch / trans related too.

It is a very strange sound indeed. Almost like the noise from a twin disc clutch.
At the time of this video, stock exhaust, but in a garage that was only half open, so thats probably why its louder sounding. Dont really feel anything in the car, just hear the loud ass rattle/ticking.

So I'll be checking for this at 1000 mi. Interval when mine arrives. Cold start, 10 to 15 mins. Sitting in the car waiting for that sound, eh? Sounds fun. To OP I hope they resolve this issue for you. Definitely not a good sound for a 40K car. I wonder if they'll let me sit in the parking lot for 15 mins when I take delivery waiting for this sound to come on. Must look out for body misalignments, hock job in the rear wheel well, peeling dashboard appliqué. What else?

Have we started to correlate these issues to build dates? Would be very curious to see if this helps determine who might/might not have this issue.

My build date was 11/24/2014.

This is interesting, when I was installing my Steeda springs the other day, I could of swore that a couple of times I heard a hissing (like a quick brief release of pressure) coming from somewhere under the car. I sort of just chalked it off as pressure releasing from crankcase or whatever, but now I wonder.

Yep the reason for posting this was just araise awareness of a possible problem. A problem that could be a safety issue in the future. People losing their clutch or unable to engage a gear can be a big problem. Dealers also have a bad habit of disregarding serious problems until it reaches a catastrophic failure. Fix a problem before it gets worse. But some people think going to a doctor for a small ailment isn't necessary but often times they diagnose a bigger problem before its too late. Same purpose here. Nobody can listen to that video and say its normal or just being paranoid. It sounds like shit

Yeah thanks for the info, bud. Looks like I'll need to watch this car too. I dealt with the same crap on my Jeep. They have widespread T/O bearing issues on theirs. I give that one some slack because I wheel it hard, its heavy and 37's. But when I pulled it, it was obvious it was a crappy part.

Fortunately aftermarket had a much better one to replace it, when it finally died at 60k and I had to pull the trans.

Hoping the same with these, as I'd hate to pull the trans to put the same crappy one back in.

Edmunds has a 2015 Mustang GT PP with 6 speed in their Long Term Test Fleet
let's see if they experience the same issue
