Can you put gen 3 DI heads on the predator short block in a gen 3 coyote? afaik you can, just have to use the gen3 head gaskets. Problem is a new predator from ford is a bit pricy ($7500 plus core plus shipping)if you can find a dealer willing to sell you one. The block and crank are cheap-ish, but the pistons, rods, and rings aren’t. Even still, it looks like you can piece together a stock predator short block for about $6000 using all new ford parts, which isn’t so bad I guess. I'm using a tkm short block predator crank boost line rods, wisco pistons. 12:1. Heads will be ported by Frankenstein. Rev limit 8500. I have posts in the build thread. I will likely be turbo after it's all said and done.@illtal what pistons are you running?
I have a stock Gen3 short block and a stock predator short block. I’ve been debating on whether to use the predator as is or with a stroker crank and slightly more compression.
I’d love to know how a gen3 top end, predator bottom end, and a supercharger work together.
