Just some pics of a Mustang GT Premium , Shadow Black. It was at one of my local dealerships. Interesting combination. How does the Midnight blue Recaros go with a Shadow Black exterior ?. Not a fully loaded Premium. 401A, 10 speed, spoiler delete & PP1 options. Sticker $49,380. Just under the 50K mark.Note: resized larger picture was taken from NEW YORK MUSTANGS.COM.

Great. Just pick up that color for other highlights on the car (shift knob, engine cover, calipers, etc.)

Basically a color like black let's you use any non-neutral as a secondary color.

I seriously considered black + yellow jacket, then go yellow on the usual suspects :)

I seriously want to trade my Saleen in for a PP2 or a PP2 Saleen. That color combo works.

Yes, this combination seems to work well with the Shadow black exterior. Not to over bearing at all.A nice addition to the interior options now available.

50k for a gt is insane lol that car will be worth 33k used in 2 years. I rather buy a used gt350 with low miles for 50k I see them now alot at this price and some even at 46-48k For a gt350

I just want to comment on price. When you see an MSRP of $50K on one of these cars it is because it is loaded with features that even the GT350 does not have. Example the new 12" digitial dash, the Safe and Secure package that has lane departure, ACC, blind spot, etc. etc. etc. Heated steering wheels, magride, etc.

All of this stuff adds quickly to the cost but they are all add-ons. If all you want is a GT with peformance pack and active exhaust, you can do that and are well under $40K street price. If you want all the latest technology and safety you gotta pay to play and yes the cost can approach $50K (before discounts).

There are already $4-5K discounts on the 18's and even more if you are willing to travel.

Nobody is twisting anyones arm here. If all you want is performance you can do that and with discounts you have a nicely optioned car.

As for GT350 pricing most of those $49-52K or so GT350's are, 2 model years older than than the 2018's, and at least around me none of them have the track pack. Most of the used 16's with track pack are closer to mid to high $50's. If you want magride, for example, you have to either buy a 2017-2018, or find a 2016 with track pack.

It seems people who bought 2016's with the track pack hold on to them because almost all used 2016's don't have it. So I would be concerned buying a 2016 without the track pack as it may have a stigma attached to it.

Making the same argument people have since the 70's on new cars. Brilliant.

Yeah, you don't hear people bitching that the GT500 was 41k, or that the GT350's are in the 60's when the Terminator used to be 35k. Times move on, features get added, and things cost more. Welcome to life.

The people bitching "yeah not for 50" were probably the same people that used to say "yeah not for 30" and "yeah not for 40".

The shadow black has blue metallic flakes in it, so to me blue is a natural accent choice.

As I am shopping for cars right now and looking at options a 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE (equivalent to a loaded Mustang with PP2) is $54K or so MSRP with a manual. You can easily get into the $56K range or more with an automatic and some appearance stuff.

The Mustang it pretty much inline with the competition here.
