45 miles from home I hear strange sound. I pull over at a funeral home. There was a service on going and a bunch of three patch wearing people watching me...

Anyway, both front tires on the inner side let go at 13,466 miles or around there. All street driving on various type of roads. HP car with street set-up.

Sport Cup 2s? If so, that’s about 10,466 miles more than mine lasted.
Yep. Sport Cup 2. I made the edit. Thanks

They aren't know to be a high mileage tire, they usually only last around 4 to 5k, I constantly check my tread depth and make sure my tires a good, last thing you want to have happen is a tire blowout at high speeds. I run mps4s in the front and 555r2 in the rear, I'll definitely be buying new mps4s tires when the fronts are done.

Looking at your pictures I'll bet your toe is out to lunch. Get an alignment.
Had an alignment when I put in the camber plates back when I bought new last year. Well the dealer said they did the work. But I will be switching tires and have the car alignment redone.

Its crazy that you got almost 3x the life users normally get on these. If regularly used on the track these last about 4k miles right?
The crazier part is getting these tires with NO track usage in mind. Might as well get the more street compliant Pilot Sport 4S.

You must not realize the SC2’s came with the car as OE.
I have almost 10K on my original ‘19 and the OE tires have maybe a couple thousand left on them.
That said, I’ll need to make the tough decision if I’m going to go with the same SC2’s. Tram-lining is not much of an issue where I live and is something I can live with.
Will the PS4’s give me more? I don’t know. What I do know is the PS4’s worked great at TrackAttack.
I do understand why others in certain areas, changed their tires right away. I don’t burn through money like that.

No clue, thought the cup2 only came in the R. Forgot about the TP and realized they come with cup2 as well.

There are two different compounds of Sport Cup 2's. The GT350 R and the Mustang GT performance pack 2 both got a stickier compound than the 2019+ Gt350 received.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/pilot-sport-cup-2-differences-r-pp2-vs-gt350.135206/

A GT350 R will get about 5-6,000 miles on a set of theri Cup 2's, but the 2019+ Gt350 can see around 12,000 miles on their "Cup 2's".

Anyone who's hit 12,000+ miles on their pilot super sports will tell you that the type of inside tire wear you're seeing is common with the toe and camber settings these cars run when street driven.

OP, You did good. I just hit 4000 miles on my PP2 and I most likely won't make it through another summer here in Georgia on the original Cup 2s. Im debating if I want to go the PS4 route again even though I don't track the car and mainly only drive it during the warm months and don't drive it in the rain of course.

Your Cups 2 lasted 3000 more miles than the Pirelli’s I had on my PP1 car
Did you replace those garbage pirelli pzero grips? I had them in my 14 mustang and 15 viper. Really shitty, once I went to michelin PSS and PS4S, wow what a difference. Im never going pirelli, even their grippier tires. Maybe slicks, but not street tires.

I did put PS4S on the PP1 rims and on my Project 6GR I have the Nittos which are okay

Thanks for reposting Brett Turnages MT article.
Just another reason to stick with the OE tires for me. All OE parts work together as originally designed….I’m good with that.
