When did the S650 actually hit the streets? To be fair it's only been like a year and a half that people have had access, not two years

but I'm still not expecting it to happen anytime soon

Yeah I think it was 3 years for HP Tuners to crack the C8 LT2. I don’t believe they can tune the C8 Z06 yet either.

People are still actively working on S650 and I have no doubt it will be cracked. If you don’t think it’s being worked on you don’t know the right people.

When will it be cracked? Who cares. It’ll be done when it’s done.

If it’s never cracked (lol), quote this post and laugh at me in a year or ten years. 🤷‍♂️

Two things:

1. Isn't the rumor that some insider at GM/Bosch leaked the info to enable the C8 ECU to be tuned?

2. Has anyone published their progress or what's stopping them from actually being able to tune the 2024 ECU? Similar to when people hack an iPhone or game console, they show how they did it.

As promised, I'm going to return here every year to check in on all those that think the people with the requisite skills and resources are working on the mustang control pack.

The people with the proper skills and resources are busy exploiting ransom attacks and working for dark agencies to try to infiltrate foreign (and domestic) systems. AKA more important things.

Thinking and knowing are two different things.

It’s being worked on. Is it every waking hour of every day? Who knows or cares. It’s being worked on.

Just because it doesn’t happen on your arbitrary timeline doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen ever.

Could I be wrong? Sure, wouldn’t be the first time and hopefully not the last time. Do I have some super top secret insider knowledge? Nope. Is it actively being worked on by people with way more mental horsepower than me? Yup. How do I know? 🤷‍♂️

Finally, I fail to see why this is a major topic of discussion here. We all have S550 cars. Our cars can be flashed with no issues. Why do we care?

Also, ford could just offer a bug bounty and write a check for $100k to anyone that demonstrates they can do it, then patch the hole

Who’s to say they haven’t already done that? (No inside knowledge one way or the other, just hypothesizing).

Well, I think the lack of tuning is driving some potential S650 buyers to used S550’s. And that in turn is having an effect on used S550 availability and prices.

And, it’s just fun to talk about since S650 is really more like S550.5 anyway

That and the interior is what I hear from dealer's.

I’ve heard that from the 2 dealerships I deal with too. Surprisingly, price isn’t one of the most popular gripes they hear, as that’s the biggest gripe over on 7G.

Both dealers have a 60th car in Wimbledon in their showrooms. It’s actually a really nice car and I like the 60th wheels (a fair amount of people seem to not like them). The premium screen isn’t terrible but would benefit from better integration and a couple of knobs
