Correct but I don't know many shops / emissions testers that are going to take apart your headers to look at your cats. Most of it is just visual.

Every state handles emissions differently. In Cali you would fail the visual even with cats in place with LTs. A lot of states are going the Cali route.

Like it or not the facts are that internal combustion engine produce health damaging pollutants and you can get aftermarket performance parts that are Carb/EPA legal ...such as the PP2 tune on my car

But, if CARB went after airplanes and cruise ships they could make a real difference as they are the real polluters. Cars get new, cleaner engines every year. Planes use 20 year old tech in many cases. Its an unfortunate situation.

Ahh one advantage we have up here in Ontario, Canada finally... They did away with our emissions testing a few years ago. Come for the good beer and stay for a while lol.
