Are any of the big name companies able to build a stick car that’s a contender for the A10?

My 2020 GT 6spd PP1 has 3.73 rears. The closest gear in the A10 would be 3.55 (PP1) or 3.32.

Stock vs Stock, I'm willing to try to beat an Auto in the 1/4 mile even with the PP1 A10

New cars. But you are correct a 2000 manual Trans Am would stomp a slush box.
K Sorry wanna get into a whole thing here. On a roll I can "stomp" 6r80 and 10r80 cars. Digs as well. Now if you wanna talk "slush box" a TH400 equipped 13' GT500 handed me my arse.

I hear what you’re saying regarding shifting and I wholeheartedly agree. However, more power and a killer suspension can offset some of that.
I mean of course there are faster MT82 cars than 10R80 cars out there. Throw 1000hp on a manual car and it will walk away from a stock auto car.

I thought your question was mod for mod, at which point "more power" cannot offset that.

Mod for mod is going to be very difficult to do, especially with the MT82D4 and its hampered gearing.

All of them
There is likely a torque advantage from the dig but that benefit is only 5% of the 1/4 mile. I think the net benefit of staying in the powerband with more gearing offsets that 5% launch. If we are talking 1/8th it's likely more of a benefit.
Yeah, would really depend on multiple variables. The sixty-foot Delta, gearing, etc.

I am speaking in terms of a very dialed in stick shift car. For example, a stick shift car that is geared to top out at the trap. In this case, I still think the stick car has the advantage as it will get to 330ft quicker, make more power at the tire RPM for RPM and will not be far behind for average power IF it is geared correctly.

Naturally, I am not referring to the average Joe in his 2018 MT82 Mustang that tops 4th (1:1) gear out at 180mph....lol
