Archetype Racing - My Experience

For the record I had a conversation with the owner of the detail shop that is now in the place of Archetype. He does know of Curtis but was completely unaware of the current financial situation. I don't believe he has any direct ties so don't want to steer any negativity his way.

Yea I'd already shared that. He knows him well obviously, but only through business efforts. I'm sure like most of these scammers Curtis only ripped off the people that weren't in his own backyard as he didn't feel immediately threatened that way. Seems as though Curtis never let on once to the actual issues he was facing to this kid running the detail shop and he had no idea he was working alongside someone going through so many issues and treating his customers so poorly because he'd never seen that side until someone showed him this thread the other day.

My bad, I misunderstood what you meant by “knows of Curtis”. Thought that to mean he was acting like he was an acquaintance and no more.

It’s still worth trying, the worst they can say is “no”.

I’d do a cover letter explaining what happened. Then attach the order confirmation, emails stating delays in shipping, and last email you sent trying to contact AR.

Good news. Looks like the Archetype site is finally dead which should prevent people placing orders to a dead company.

Yes, all our parts are done with vacuum, either vacuum bagging or resin infusion, with a very few parts being compression molded. We do zero wet layups since they produce parts that are heavier and weaker.

So basically I have a set of ATR canards that are now worth 3x their original price because you can't get them anymore
