Not to derail this thread, but I'm getting the feeling that the Camaro might be going away again.
Just not enough sales to continue the car.
If it does stick around? I would imagine that the new GM DOHC V-8 would be used.
I really do think is going to do what Ford did and kill off most cars. With the next vette already confirmed, I'm saying the camaro is history.
Just not enough sales......

If the Fusion can be axed, the Camaro can easily be axed considering they have the vette. Crazy times

No, definitely not. They'll either be unaffected or will decline as many customers who wanted a Fusion or Focus will go to other automakers instead of getting a CUV, possibly for good.
That's exactly right. I count myself among the group of potential Mustang buyers who are freaked out by this announcement. I've been bitten by the Mustang bug and was planning to buy a 2019 GT PP1 this summer. Since the announcement, I'm questioning Ford's commitment to invest in the Mustang franchise. In this cost-cutting environment, do we have any evidence that Ford is improving quality, investing in new features, etc.?

I'd argue that the existence of the Mustang is wholly inconsistent with Ford's business model and I'm pissed about it. How much longer until Ford sells the Mustang franchise to a Chinese automaker?

I also agree that Camaros might not stick around with the declining car market. The refresh already has tons of backlash so unless people warm up to it quick, that will only hurt sales. Plus, Chevy killed it once before so it's not like it's unprecedented.

I think Mustang was a little weaker this April because the weather was crappy in many places. We'll see if the 2018s hit their stride in May now that the weather seems like it'll actually be nice.

Ladies and Gentleman, I present you the Camaro sal... oh. Forgot, it's quarterly and not monthly anymore.

In that case, I present you a random Camaro6g thread that has a title of "Sounds like Mustang might outlive Camaro."

Local dealer doesn't even have an 18 on the lot, and the weather was horrendous. Car lots were buzzing this last weekend, good warm weather.

GM no longer reports monthly. Only quarterly.
Yup...wanted to keep the bad news to 4 times a year. LOL. J/K. As far as the Camaro, it'll probably finish in 3rd this year which says a mouthful.
Just wait until we compare 4 months sales of camaro to 4 months sales of Mustang. It's really going to look like camaro has gotten it's ass kicked then.

R.I.Pieces camaro

I did my part to increase Mustang sales in April.

I wonder if part of the sales decline has been the crappy April weather in most of the USA.
Same here, April 6th.

The Camaro needs a complete redesign. Make it better for DD'ing and make it a bit cheaper and it will sell very well.

It might be a silly question but what does each row of data represent? I get the columns.
