Delivery date of 4/11 here! Happy to help the month along. I'll add that we need the Camaro to stick around. The competition drives innovation and horsepower increases from year to year. Without the Camaro in our rearview who will push Ford to keep improving our beloved pony car? Not MOPAR...

Oh shoot I hope there is still a sales thread on C6 each month :(
Nope. That forum is the happiest place on earth. Saying anything negative about Camaros, will get you banned. And them sales threads lead to a lot of negative comments.

Just wait until we compare 4 months sales of camaro to 4 months sales of Mustang. It's really going to look like camaro has gotten it's ass kicked then.

R.I.Pieces camaro
That's right, go back to the scrap yard, Scrapmaro

The Camaro needs a complete redesign. Make it better for DD'ing and make it a bit cheaper and it will sell very well.
I agree that the Camaro needs to be redesigned. I'm sure that a number of people at GM recognize that as well. The real question is can GM afford the cost of a total re-design.

It is a shrinking segment of the market and GM already has a two-seat sports car, the Corvette. (I don't believe those rear seats on the Camaro actually deserve to be called seats.) I'd hate to see the Camaro go away. But looking at the sales numbers over the last two years, it would be difficult to make a business case for continuing to invest money into a product-line that's struggling in such a limited market segment.

Not sure why everyone is so excited to kill off the Camaro. Having competition forces Ford to continue to improve the Mustang.

Camaro? Competition?

There's plenty of other better competition now that the Mustang is global and now that they raised the price on it. M series Beamers for example.

This is false. The Mustang has improved every year throughout it’s history with or without a Camaro/Firebird being produced.

I've been bitten by the Mustang bug and was planning to buy a 2019 GT PP1 this summer. Since the announcement, I'm questioning Ford's commitment to invest in the Mustang franchise. In this cost-cutting environment, do we have any evidence that Ford is improving quality, investing in new features, etc.?
How would any of that effect the car you plan on buying this summer? I don't see the link.

Camaro’s got a couple years left. They just switched to it for the NASCAR Cup Series.

Mustang Sales are down because everyone is waiting for the Bullitt and GT500. Millions of orders waiting. Get ready for Boosted ADM!
