Was thinking about doing this swap, but heard some people were having tuning issues with the GT350 TB.
I know they are going to use this setup on the new Bullitt Mustang, and it's boosted these motors up to 475hp from the factory.

Anyone done this swap? Thoughts? $1200 for 15ish HP seems somewhat reasonable, but I'm guessing with FI later on, I would see bigger changes.

Thanks.

Seems like a huge waste of money if you have the 18 intake already. Just get a CAI and Tune

can't be that bad if Ford threw it on the '19 Bullit can it?

I have a GT 350 intake and TB on my 2015, along with CAI, long tube headers, and custom tune. This combination picked up 50 hp on the dyno.

The 18 gt stock manifold is very good and a big improvement over the 2015, but the GT 350 manifold is slightly better..
You will need a tune and it will cost you about $100 per hp gained.
I have been hotrodding boats, bikes, and cars and it always ends up about $100 invested to net out a 1 hp improvement.
Maybe forced induction is better but may cost you dearly down the road

If you are going through the effort and cost to replace IM, just get a cobrajet. I am sure you can make some slight gains with the GT350 IM, but I doubt you would feel it over a good tune and headers.

It's not bad perse, but for the amount of money you pay for it and the minimal gains most would say it's not worth it.

Ford did it for the Bullit so that the model "stood out" from the others and merit the higher price tag and exclusivity. But it's only worth 15hp at best over the GT manifold and for $1200+ I go back to my first point of is it worth it?
