Much like @shogun32 is able to give good advice on comparisons between a GT and a Camaro SS 1LE due to owning both, I’m interested in thoughts of anyone who traded their GT350 for a Mach 1, or who owns both.

Hoping to keep this free of clutter of debate about which is better unless you own or have owned both at one point in time.

Same, would be great to hear from someone who can give us some real world comparisons. Especially if they have driven them both hard.

I am actually debating trading the gt350 for a Mach1. I've also owned a PP2 and a 19 Camaro SS. It's a long story as to why I was lucky to own all of these cars but the reliability and expenses in running a 350 on track as well as comfort on the road is having me think about the trade. I have never driven a Mach1 yet

From what I can remember of the PP2 was that the Coyote sounds just as good as the Voodoo in a lower bass kind of way. It did not handle anywhere near as sharp as the 350 or the Camaro. My hopes that the Mach 1 is somewhere in between the pp2 and the 350 and that's a trade off I could live with if it means better reliability and savings on track. I have the twist on oil filter on the 350 and have to tighten it often unfortunately.

We should have someone around nor cal with a Mach 1 that can let you check it out up close.
I would say the Mach 1 is best described as sliding right in between the pp2 and 350. The best of both worlds.

Not a 350 owner but I can tell you a big difference is in oil consumption. A coyote you can probably get away with 10k miles before an oil change. For the Voodoo, you could be without engine oil in half that distance.

I feel like if I was gonna own both, I would have a non-HP Mach 1 and a GT350R.

If you do find one I would love to hear your thoughts. I drove a GT350 ages ago and really liked it, but the Mach is the better daily driver for sure. If you want to track it though I figure you would really need to test drive a HP car as those tires are gonna make a huge difference.

I'm guessing you had a SSLE, how did that compare to the to the GT350?

agreed. would have a base mach for the more streetable version, and a 350R for the all out track killer.

The SS was solid. Transmission was solid and steering feel and handling was top notch. Dare I say it but I believe the SS handled better than the 350. The alpha platform is incredible and it just felt tighter than the 350. Wind buffeting and visibility were horrendous. The LT motor is great but the Coyote and voodoo sounds damn right exotic. 350 definitely has more soul and speaks to mine more.

I had a 17 GT350 and now have a 21 Mach 1, HP, manual, 700A. I dont track my cars so missed on much of the benefit of the GT350. For my use I much more prefer the Mach 1. I like the balance it brings between function and street driving comfort while still providing plenty of performance capabilities.

looks like the same spec, are you wanting a 21 over a 22?
yeah, but apparently ordering in June is too late in the year by fords standards.. I have a '71, would prefer to have a '21 next to it instead of a '22.
