I ordered a GT, PP1, wing delete with 10 speed on April 26th using an available Canadian dealer allotment. I was told that the car would be delivered in 12 weeks. I confirmed that the order was submitted and have been waiting for a vin to be issued ever since.
Last week I called the dealer again and spoke with sales manager, was told that my order was cancelled by Ford, (another customer with a GT order from April was also cancelled). He said that they are trying to get my deal applied to a 2022. I called Ford Canada and they were very vague as to why my order was cancelled and would not guarantee anything. I guess this chip shortage is affecting only some mustang gt orders.
So much for Ford's PR team issuing news releases stating that they are prioritizing customer's factory orders.
