No airbag deployment! Makes you wonder what you have to hit and how hard you have to hit it for the bag to bang?
Maybe the bean counters at ford h.q removed them for "track and street performance"

No airbag deployment! Makes you wonder what you have to hit and how hard you have to hit it for the bag to bang?
You have to understand that modern cars are trying NOT to deploy the airbags unless they deem the physical forces require it. Airbags in themselves may be soft, but they're still loud, hot, and can injure people, since hardly anyone adjusts their seat position correctly. The airbag not deploying also doesn't mean that the seat belt pretensioner didn't blow, which is sometimes all that's needed. In this situation Im sure flying through the air or getting on top of that curb removed most of the energy, by the time he hit the bus stop the car likely didn't see it as necessary.
