Anyone Know if the cars Accessory will stay on during a SYNC wifi Update?

They changed from charge to free back in 2019. Do not remember how many updates you were supposed to get but I just got the last download for free.

On my '19 I gotta connect the car to wifi, have it scan for updates, then tell it to do the update.

I really don't know, I will email my dealership and ask. Yesterday was my first download and it was SYNC only.

Your dealership isn't going to be to tell you anything.

1. Did you sign up at the Ford Owner site? This is the start point for everything.

2. Once this is done you can check your Sync situations for both Sync 3 and maps.

Also check you Sync screen in your car. This will tell you what versions and build numbers you have.

It gives you instructions when you go to start the update. It will tell you what condition to leave the car in, until the update is finished.

Are you saying you've completed the update? Is this a recent SYNC update?

I know I updated my car several months ago, and IIRC, the accessory power stayed on during the process.

New update within the last 6 or so months. I know because I got a notification at some point that there was an update for my Mach 1 so I did it after I was able to get it out of the garage. Don't recall the exact date it was released however.
