Leaking. Is it a simple unbolt, gasket/sealer rebolt,or do i need to remove a bunch of stuff to get the cover off? Not familiar with these new IRS setups. Thx!

Here, This may help.
It is the: SHELBY GT350 REAR DIFFERENTIAL COOLER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
It's for the GT350, but everything should be the same on the cover itself.
On page 13 & 14 it shows replacing the rear cover, with torque specs, etc.
You may need an E-Torx Socket, (E-18) for the inverted Torx bolts.

Thank, you. Can the cover be removed with everything else in place ? Or do i need to remove anything? I just need to reseal the cover since it is leaking.

FORD says to drop the housing down.
I haven't tried to do it with housing up in place., There's only about 1 1/2" of clearance between the rear cover and subframe

Half shafts have to come out which means a whole bunch of other stuff has to be disconnected. I did it when adding a cooler and changing pumpkins for other peoples cars. Isn't your car still under warranty?

All that just for the cover ? Jeez I'll have my solid live axle back please. Lol. Yes warranty but if it was simple I would just do it myself for this it sounds like hours and hours of labor let Ford deal with it I agree

I don't want to hijack, I got the info I was looking for in this thread, Thanks!
But, I am looking to add a diff cooler to my 2019 GT. Kenny Brown Performance looks to have a Diff cooler that attaches to the stock Diff cover, No need to disassemble the bottom rear of your car.

Is there a definite answer whether there is enough clearance at the top to get to all the bolts and slide the cover off without doing anything else?

I did see the post above where the guy said to take out the shafts and all that, but I assume that's only to replace the whole pumpkin not just the cover.

I haven't done this job but it looks like if your drop the diff 3" or so you could get the top cover bolts out. I don't think you would have to undo the axles or driveshaft for that.
