I replaced my Recaros with seats from a 2016 Mustang 5.0. I had to run wire to the power seats but I have an air bag light.
I borrowed schematic diagram books from the dealer for both years and determined that the pin outs for both years are identical as to position, wire color and circuit names/numbers so there is nothing there to change.
I've been to two places that have scanners that include air bags but they were unable to reset the light. The more advanced scanner said the air bag codes were wrong and the tech said new codes need to be entered but he didn't have access to the codes and wasn't sure if he could enter them even if he had them.
I called the dealer and the shop foreman said it can't be done. I know there are code breakers out there, a referral would be appreciated.
