I am looking to replace my LCAs because the bushing in my driver's side arm is toast. I was wondering if anyone is running either of the spherical LCAs from OP Mustang and if you have any reviews or suggestions. I attend 10 to 12 track days a year and the rest of the time the car is street driven. Thanks!

I ran the J&M ones for 4 years without issue. Only switched because I wanted the adjustability of the SPL arms

Okay thanks. If I wanted to use the SPL LCAs to adjust camber and make sure geometry stayed the same I assume I would also need the SPL tension rods?

Yep - you need both - which is pretty expensive from what I found out

Yeah I'm debating what to do now. OEM LCAs with the spherical bearings are going to be around $500-700. But my car still needs camber adjustment (I don't have camber plates) so buying these adjustable LCAs would help me address that.

Seems I can get the SPL LCAs and tension rods for $1200 right now....

Also it seems that there was a redesign of the SPL LCA earlier this year? Looks like they replaced a bolt with a stud and the magneride bracket is included now?

I have the J&M front LCA mono-balls. Have a bit over 10,000 miles on mine. No problems whatsoever. They're quiet, you get a bit better road feel through the steering wheel and overall a nice upgrade. The stock fronts are rubber with some sort of weird gel-stuff inside. No regrets.

Just reading the SPL instructions now. It seems that some minor modification has to be made to the knuckle for the stud to fit through (apparently 0.05 inch too small). Did you have to do that when installing yours?

you need a 5/8’’ drillbit to enlarge the hole. id recommend a shop u trust install these. these are amazing because you can properly set caster while also pushing out the footprint of the front wheels by extending them out

i have them on both my gt350 and gt500 race cars

Alright! I ordered both the LCAs and the tension rods. Now I just need to find a shop to do the alignment afterwards. I will do the install myself I think.

Yes please and thank you :like:

I'm always happy to have something to reference and learn from the experience of others.
