I'm curious of real world gains found by putting long tubes on. Wondering if it would be worth all the money and time
Its worth about 30hp +-10hp

It sounds so good though, the sound alone is worth it. If you have a lift like i do its not a bad job.

Depends on boost level before headers. Could be as much as 50hp if you're running high boost and you go catless.

That's true but 50 hp would be upper end. I'm Catless and the nice part is less boost with same Hp

Same. Catless usually rubs around 1 psi lower. Plus, in FL, we do not have emissions.

In the 600-700 range, I don't think it would be worth more then 15rwhp...but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I would think that it is worth only 15rwhp in that range. But it does sound good and pisses my neighbors off lol.

No doubt.

What a lot of people do not realize is, even if the peak power gains are not "much"...the LT headers are good to have for other reasons as well....most importantly, less heat/lower boost.

lower boost/same horsepower?

When I had my Camaro I ran FLP Long tubes, they had quick disco offroad pipes where you could run catless/catted.

Are there any long tubes for these cars that have that?

Anything I should know if I run catless? I feel like the cats are there for a reason so kind of want to keep the cats.

lower boost, same power....yes.

I am not sure if anything like that is available, like the old FLP systems..

I know I have a completely different system then you but I just added catless long tubes to my otherwise stock HO kit on 7 psi and it made a noticeable difference. I raced my buddies stock c6 zo6 before and after and the gains in the mid range are defiantly noticeable. We were pretty much dead even before till I pulled about half a car in 5th and now from the hit I am able to instantly put half a car on him and slowly walk away. Like others have said the car sounds awesome now.

The cats are there for emissions. I run catless exhaust on all of my performance cars.

Cats are there for your children not to live in a world of acid rain. Run the damn cat on you street cars.
