Wondering because on the Anderson site it says requires removal of wipers. This just doesn’t make sense to me. Does the hood come up just a little more and prevent the hood from being opened properly? The hood can only come up so much before it rubs so I would like to know exactly what’s going on. If wipers work with this hood I would purchase ASAP. I love that hood so much.

I believe the wipers need to be removed because the Cobra Jet hood comes too close the cowling. There would probably be interference between the hood and/or operation of wipers (or hood open/close).

In this image (from AC’s site) it was the best I could find that shows how the rear edge of the CJ hood sits on the CJ:

Also, reach out to M6G Member @NTB, he owns a 50th Anniversary CJ; he may be able to provide the best insight and maybe provide pics of the hood to cowling area:

Maybe but the hood still opens properly. So wouldn’t that be an impossible action then.

The sealing surface for the hood is basically the front the windshield. You'll 100% lose your wipers.

That’s not apples to apples though. The reason the hood has that seal I believe is it’s the electric cobra jet. I’m not so sure the ICE version is the same by the top part. I don’t know. Basically I can’t get the hood. Lol.

It’s absolutely the same hood. If you want to take the 2k gamble on it be my guest. I was around this car and a couple CJ cars at NMRA BG and it’s the exact same hood

I’m aware it’s the same hood. And I am not gambling getting that hood. But you see the way there’s a rubber seal at the top where the windshield meets the hood. I don’t believe the ICE CJ has that.
