Yes to me a mustang is a luxury exotic to me, just below a Ferrari territoryTechnically youāre correct, however not everyone has the means to a Ferrari etc. The mustang is a performance car in comparison to the average out there. If itās special to someone why not ?
I could afford a better car, but my mustang is special to me.
Itās my exotic ā¦ā¦.
That's cool and all but if you just would've parked the money in the s&p500 you most likely would've made way more.Wrong, just look into my garage ! People said the same when I purchaes a 1967 Corvette, black/black, red stinger, roadster, 427/435hp, side pipe, all original, very rare as no one bought black cars prior, around 1989. In 1990 cars dropped like a rock. Everyone told me what a fool I was. Sold it not too long ago for very substantial six figures. Guess who had the last laugh ?
Now, I'll ultimately have the last laugh with my two '65 GT350's, one a very rare, very early handbuilt number. Been offered over $20K for my 2019 GT350 but have no interest in selling.
I can really relate to this. I have always driven my Mustangs daily. I drove my 2015 3,000 miles a month at times. But then I started working from home, and then retired in May, 2021. I ordered my 2021 GT in July and got it in October. In the 14 months since, I have put 2,000 miles on it! It hurts me to let it sit so much, and I look for reasons to drive it, but without a commute or business travel, it turns out I don't drive much. But I have enjoyed every one of those miles!I retired at the end of 2018 and bought the Mustang Feb of 2020. It was going to be my road trip car, not a daily driver. Well within weeks of getting the car covid hit and it became a garage queen because there were no road trips to be had. So during that I spent a lot of time looking at it. Now that things have opened up I drive it every time the weather forecast looks good for a few days in a row. Life's too short to wait for the next road trip, you worked for the car so get out and enjoy the car.
Not remotely close to the s&p500 - far beyondThat's cool and all but if you just would've parked the money in the s&p500 you most likely would've made way more.
