$250. How generous. I see you have a GT350. Do the other two also own a GT350?

Years ago, those of us that bought the initial ā€˜99 Mustang Cobras went through 5 or 6 recalls to fix several Cobra-unique issues. When the dust settled, Ford gave us a nice Roots leather jacket with our VIN stamped on a leather patch on the inside. Anyone owning a ā€˜99 Cobra should have one of these. Was a nice gesture, and the car was bullet-proof after the recalls. Sold it after 20+ years and 67,000 milesā€¦.

Iā€™ve got the GT350R and not as many issues at @pilotgore but was happy to get the $250 gift card.

Curious, what were the multiple maintenance issues? And does this only apply to the GT350? I had to bring my F150 in 4 times, when I initially got new brakes, for them to get it right.

I've been in the shop for 14 different warranty items in 7,100 miles. VCT solenoid x4, solenoid wiring, x4, starter, alternator, rotors, battery, caliper boots, wheel bearing. . . I'm sure I'm missing a few

I tried to get my wife's Lincoln in for some warranty work and an oil change. One of the reasons she likes Lincoln is because they pick up the car and leave you a Lincoln loaner while servicing. it.

We moved from North Carolina back to Michigan. The local dealer is about 15 miles down the road -- they told me 8 weeks to get her car in for an oil change even, and since she didn't buy the car from them no on pick up and delivery and no on the loaner. Searching for a different Lincoln dealer now.

We took it to the local Ford dealer and they took care of the oil change right away and scheduled it for the warranty work. It has been in twice now for the same work, part of which was the sync system which kept saying that the service we wanted was not available because the map update wasn't finished. This second time they said, "we are waiting for a response from tech on how to fix it so will schedule you again when we hear back".

Since the system was saying it was a problem with the map update not being completely installed I downloaded the map update from the Lincoln site, ran it on the car, and gee, now it works. A week later and still no call from the dealer.

She is calling the Lincoln concierge tomorrow to complain about the service so far and the Lincoln dealer not giving her the Lincoln treatment because she didn't buy it from them (when we were living 650 miles away in another state). Maybe she will get a gift card as a loyal Lincoln owner - this is her third one.

No attempt for a lemon law? Iā€™m assuming you just love the car to death.

On a serious note - at least someone at Ford Corp is stepping up to all of the warranty and QC issues across all of their platforms. They do need to do a lot better, even with their new releases (*cough*Bronco*cough*).

I think I threw that out... thought it was another attempt for them trying to get me to sign up for the fordpass credit card. I cannot complain atm the engine that was recently provided to me came with ESP PremCare and Limited Maintenance Plan.

Since receiving the engine I only had to replace the starter solenoid which is common on these especially if you track. Pro tip! Add a DEI Heatshield around it.
