Anyone done a custom sub in the spare tire well?

Interesting touch adding the fans for cooling.

Thx. I have one fan blowing down and one blowing up. It really helps to circulate air and keep the amps cooler.

I run a 10” JL Audio sub along with my JL amp in the well, works great!

JL Audio used to make one back in the late 80’s that would probably work with the current Mustang spare tire well. I used to have one in my 1989 GT. It was very similar to this universal enclosure:

Not going to win any contests but kicks the oem sub to the curb...fully adjustable crossover, boost and level.

Kenwood XR1000 has integrated fan. I have it in the tire well with 360 degree air exposure and 1/4" gap spacers on the well cover. Works well, simple install, and OE enclosure with JL and control knob in cabin works very well.

It's a great solution that I was seriously contemplating but I couldn't give up the space used to store: jack, washer fluid, torque wrench, breaker bar, inflation kit, lug nuts, bag of nut lock and strut sockets, gloves, first aid kit and emergency blanket.....
