I've done this for about +2,000 miles now in a engine that's at 44,000+ miles that used 5W20 before. So far there's no problems or failures (KNOCK ON WOOD) and there's no noise difference other than normal.Anyone changed there oil to 5w30 and encounter a problem, failure or any weird noises?

Technically, 0w30 could carry the 5w30 rating. It meets the requirements per sae j300.Does Ow-30 count? I've been running that since about 2500 miles,, now at 7000+
The only thing that bothers me about the t6 is they dropped the gas engine rating last year some time.I'm considering Rotella 5-40 for my next change.
All of this. But OP, unless you have a specific reason to switch, I wouldn't bother. Straying away from the manual for "peace of mind" frankly isn't a good one in my opinion. If you're just DD'ing the car and not really pushing it, just use what the manual calls for.The manual does say 5W-30 should be used for track use. So it's an acceptable viscosity. I wonder if I should use it here in SW Florida in the summer months when it is very hot- 78-95 degrees every day. And in the winter use 5W-20 when it's a little cooler- 55-85. I don't drive the car hard though and do not plan on using it at the track at all.
2015-2017 does not have it. I think it was 2018 manual that said that? The manual does say 5W-30 should be used for track use. So it's an acceptable viscosity.
