Hello dear Cali fam,

I'm thinking to purchase a MBRP Race catback exhaust, but I'd love to hear it in person.

Anybody lives in Socal willing to demo his/her MBRP Race catback for 2018+?

I don't mind driving 1-2 hours.

Thank you

its really loud and has drone. The only pro it has is that you get alot of sound for cheap.

Thank you for you replies TuxedoPC and Erikkire18,

When it comes to the drone, I'm reading different views. Some say it's pretty bad, some say it's almost none existent.

I already have Roush axle-back on my 2018 GT and I like it. I think I'll give a shot adding H-pipes. A lot have commented that roush + h-pipe has no drone. I sounds a bit raspy in higher RPM's, but that's the same case with MBRP Race as well (as far as I heard from youtube).

I'll keep you updated. Thanks again...

I don't have the race, but I have the MBRP street with MBRP long tubes, MBRP cat hpipe and MBRP street catback if you want to hear it.

I've got the race on my 18 on what I believe to be an otherwise stock car without active exhaust. It's loud from a cold start and sounds alright, certainly enough for your local law enforcement to look over your way as often as you'd like.

Thank you everybody for the support.

I couldn't wait and installed H-pipe (with Roush axle-back). I can confirm that, youtube video's were right : ) It does get quite raspy. Some might like it, but I prefer deeper tone.

When it comes to sound levels, it is very loud, even gentle lift-off is loud. I like the volume levels (even it will probably get me in trouble), but I started to think if I made a mistake because of the raspiness.

Now looking into Vibrant Bottle Resonators to get installed. I'm hoping it'll make it deep as it used to be, and leave the volume level high-er.

This is my scoring:

Roush axle-back only
Sound Level: 5/10
Rasp: 3/10

Roush axle-back plus H-pipe
Sound Level: 9.5/10
Rasp: 7/10
